HOTEL SAVOY- FINANCE MEET

The Department of Financial Services (Ministry of Finance, Government of India) convened its high-level Sameeksha Baithak—a strategic review conclave—at the heritage Hotel The Savoy in Mussoorie. The closed-door retreat brought together the apex leadership of India’s public financial ecosystem, including the Union Finance Minister, Ministers of State for Finance, the Financial Services Secretary, senior DFS officials, MDs and CEOs of all Public Sector Banks, and the leadership of SIDBI, NABARD, EXIM Bank, LIC, and public-sector insurance companies.
Away from routine operational pressures, participants conducted a rigorous, data-driven performance review, established key performance indicators, and aligned macro-level targets. Discussions focused on financial inclusion through schemes such as PMJDY, PMSBY, and Mudra Loans; credit growth and NPA management across MSME and agricultural lending; digital transformation and cybersecurity in public banking; and cross-sectoral collaboration between banking and insurance to strengthen grassroots financial safety nets.
TBSL India successfully supported the planning, coordination, and on-ground execution of this prestigious multi-day conclave, ensuring seamless arrangements, professional management, and a smooth experience for the distinguished delegates.
Set against the serene hills of Mussoorie, the conclave exemplified the Government’s structured approach to institutional accountability by combining strategic introspection with decisive policy realignment to strengthen India’s financial-sector governance.
